Ogbu predicts Heartland revival

Brendan Ogbu (left) and teammates, Kabiru Umar (m) and Obinna Nwachukwu (r) Heartland forward, Brendan Ogbu, is confident that the club will be counted amongst the title contenders during the second round of the Nigeria Premier League. Heartland placed ninth on the log at the conclusion of the first round and emerged as a 'homeless' team due to the unavailability of their home ground, the Dan Anyiam Stadium. However, the team have since returned home with the stadium in good shape. "The second round will be decisive for Heartland. I know the team will play better because we had several new players during the first round. "We play as a unit now which is good for us and another advantage is the fact that Heartland has returned to Owerri," the forward, who was recruited from rivals, Enugu Rangers, told SuperSport.com. Ogbu wants the Owerri fans to enjoy the team's improved performance. "I appreciate the fans for their support, so we have to play well. My goal against Cameroon's Unisport in the Caf Confederation Cup came at the time the fans really displayed their passion for the team. "We can do better with their support," he said to SuperSport.com. Heartland will be on road at Warri Wolves when the second round of the resumes.
